Rosemary Taylor

For what is yourlife? It is even a vapour, that appeared for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14

On May 2, 2012,the final chapter in the earthly life of Rosemary “Sister” Taylor was closed by the quiet touch of God in calling her home.

Rosemary was born on October 9, 1947 to the late Nathaniel and Viola Taylor in Leakesville, MS.

She was educated at Greene Vocational High School in Leakesville, MS. She graduated and went on to attend Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, MS. She received her Bachelor of Art Degree in English and became a resident of Moss Point in the early 1970’s. She was employed at Ingall’s Shipbuilding(Northrop Gruman) for 30 years until her health began to fail.

Rosemary was a proud and devoted mother to her daughter Shatonya and her grandchildren whom she loved very dearly. She was a true example of a virtuous woman.

Rosemary was a member of New Providence Baptist Church where she attended faithfully until her health failed. She truly loved God and the word. She accepted him as her personal savior and praised him for his goodness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Viola Taylor.

A lifetime of precious memories will be cherished by; her daughter Shatonya(Charles)Payton: her grandchildren, Juanice and Briuanna Payton.

Nine brothers and three sisters: Clinton Taylor, Nathaniel Taylor Jr., Harold (Druetta) Taylor, Christopher Taylor, all of Leakesville, MS; Larry(Sandra)Taylor, South Holland,ILL, Thomas(Rose) Taylor, Birmingham, AL, Rev. Douglas(Rev. Dr. Stephanie )Taylor, Laplace, LA, Henry Taylor, Gautier, MS, Donald Taylor, Jacksonville, Fl. Iola Tolbert, Leakesville, MS, Barbara(Randy) Viverette, Moss Point, MS, Charlotte(Austin) Sanders, North Richland Hills, TX; and a host of nephews, nieces, relative and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Thursday, May 10, 2012 at New Providence Baptist Church, 17173 Highway 63, Leakesville, MS. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service.

Interment will be in New Providence Cemetery, Leakesville, MS
